TAI CHI EXERCISE ( Taiji ) is world-renowned for health enhancing and life extending benefits. Correctly taught its' low impact, slow motion movements, coordinated with smooth patterns of breathing, gently massage the joints, organs and tissues, relieving pain and stress and correcting many misalignments and imbalances.

TAI CHI CHUAN ( also spelled Taijiquan, Taiji Quan, Tai Ji Quan ), the Martial Art from which Tai Chi ( Taiji ) Exercises are borrowed, is also world renowned as a highly effective fighting/self-defense system of training. Although this aspect was traditionally held as a closely guarded secret and was thought to be a "lost art", today there are still a few remaining high level Masters who hold these secrets and pass them on to their advanced students.

TUI SHOU / SAN SHOU: In this Weekly Intensive class, the intent is to focus mainly on the two-person, interactive aspects of Internal Martial Arts training -- the part that gets neglected either totally or rendered to the level of rudimentary "Push Hands" training by most Tai Chi ( Taiji ) teachers.

QIGONG ( Chi Kung ) CONDITIIONING: The first portion of each class consists of conditioning exercises: Qigong ( Internal Training ), Tai Chi ( Taiji ) and Hsing-I ( Xing-Yi ) forms work, Shaolin ( Sil Lum ) style stretching, aerobic and strengthening exercises. The rest focuses on two-person or multi-person activities, ranging from Basic Push Hands, sensitivity and flexibility exercises, and Reaching/Dodging training through advanced levels of Tui Shou and San Shou including Da Lu ( Ta Lu ), Chin Na, Tai Chi San Shou Set, Hsing-I ( Xing-Yi ) Sparring Sets, San Shou free-fighting exercises, with some "free-play".


SIFU MICHAEL SHAMAN has been teaching these arts for over 25 years and practicing and studying them for over 35 years under the tutelage and guidance of some the most accomplished Martial Arts and Internal Arts Masters in the World. He has given workshops, seminars, classes and/or demonstrations in various parts of the US, as well as in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
