CHIEF INSTRUCTOR:
 
SIFU MICHAEL SHAMAN has professionally taught Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, and related martial and healing arts for over 25 years.  He has studied & trained in the US, China and Himalayas for over 3.5 decades.
 
Since 1987, Sifu Michael has taught in his native California, primarily in the Los Angeles area, and for the past 3 years in the San Francisco Bay area.   He has been a training coordinator for the Los Angeles chapter of the International Yan Xin Qigong Association, is an active member of the San Francisco Chapter of the Jing Mo (Ching Wu) Athletic Association, and is certified as a Tian Gong Healer.  
 
He has had articles by or including him published in a variety of esoteric periodicals including Inside Kung Fu and Internal Dialogue. He has appeared in a variety of TV shows and feature films including American and Chinese TV specials on Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong.
 

Sifu Michael was the only Westerner specifically invited to attend the festivities in Szechuan Province, China,
celebrating the "legalization" of Qigong in China  (under the Sports Authority) in 1996. 

His principal teachers have been some of the most accomplished martial, spiritual and healing arts Masters in the world, including:

  • Waysun Liao ("Tai Chi Classics")
  • William C.C.Chen - Grandmaster from the Cheng Man Ching lineage,  ("Body Mechanics of Tai Chi Chuan")
  • Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen - Tibetan High Lama; Representative of the  14th Dalai Lama to the US
  • Peter Ralston - Full Contact World Champion ("Principles of Effortless Power"& "Integrity of Being" )
  • Dr. Yan Xin - World Famous Qigong Healer and Researcher, ("60 Characters on Traditional Chinese Qigong").
  • Wong Jack-Man - Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and Internal Martial Arts Grandmaster.
