Scott Jensen has been a serious student and practitioner of the Martial Arts for over 25 years and has been teaching professionally for over 15. He founded "Bending Willow School" in Berkeley, California, in 1990 and later moved it to a larger site in nearby Richmond. Here, in addition to teaching, he hosted many events and workshops and presented some of the top Martial Artists of our time. In early 2002 Sifu Scott moved to Marin County where he founded the "10,000 Victories School". He currently resides in San Rafael with his Taiwanese wife Rachel.
Sifu Scott is an expert in Xing Yi Quan (Hsing I Chuan), having studied the art under a number of the worlds foremost Masters of the art, including: Wong Jack-Man, Dr. Vincent Black, and Lian Ke Qian of Beijing, China. He is also the highest ranked Instructor of Lan Shou Boxing in North America, having studied directly with Sifu Liu Wan Fa in Tianjin, China. He is highly accomplished in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu (Bei Sil Lum), Lohan Kung Fu, Tai Chi and many traditional weapons forms, having studied these arts under Sifu Wong Jack-Man for over 25 years until his retirement.
He has competed internationally in both forms and contact competitions, placing frequently and often taking 1st place in Sparring or Forms competitions. In 1990 and again in 2006, Scott was a member of the American Team competing in the World Championship competitions in Taiwan. Both times he placed among the top four in hand forms, sword forms and push hands competitions. |
